XJR fork braces

A quality fork brace can noticeably improve precision, stability and steering feel on the substantial XJR. The difference is particularly apparent in fast changes of direction, on mountain roads and when carrying a passenger or luggage.

Expert information about this category

Fork braces for Yamaha XJR 1200 & XJR 1300

The standard fork can twist under load. A brace rigidly connects the two lower fork legs, reducing this movement and giving more controlled turn-in, greater cornering stability and clearer front-end feedback.

Benefits

More precise, direct steering; reduced fork twist; improved stability in corners and at speed; better handling when ridden briskly; and a useful complement to firmer fork springs.

Together with improved fork springs and oil, a brace can help the XJR feel both more agile and more composed, adding to confidence and enjoyment.

Important: fork protectors

The brace occupies the position of the original fork protectors. The standard OEM protectors cannot therefore continue to be used. Use protectors specifically designed for installation with the brace so the fork legs remain protected.

Model matching

The offered braces cover the XJR 1200 4PU and XJR 1300 RP02, RP06, RP10 and RP19, with model-specific versions.

Specialist advice

I can help select the correct brace and matching protectors so your fork setup delivers the right balance of precision, stability and enjoyment.
