This chain length is assigned to all models originally fitted with a 520-pitch chain with 110 links.

The world has been waiting a long time for a strong, durable motorcycle drive chain. The traditional chain manufacturer REGINA, based in northern Italy, has now made that wish a reality. The new carbon-coated motorcycle chain brings a product to market that can fulfil every wish. Long life comparable with Regina’s strongest chains, maintenance-free operation – in other words, never lubricating your chain again – and therefore better environmental compatibility are the major benefits of this innovative new motorcycle chain. The chain can already be ordered at extra cost as a factory accessory on BMW’s top S 1000 RR and S 1000 R models. That can certainly be seen as a mark of quality, as the S 1000 RR produces well over 200 BHP. So its quality is proven! A huge advantage of these chains is that they do not require specially coated front or rear sprockets. Nor is chain spray needed any more, significantly reducing maintenance. In addition, no flung-off chain grease ends up in the environment. Durability should benefit considerably too, as many chains fail through lack of care. Regina even quotes a lower friction coefficient for this high-performance HPE chain, allowing more engine power to reach the rear wheel. No lubrication and increased power are compelling arguments for this chain. The chain is available. Initially it was offered in 525 pitch, but because it proved so successful, a 520 chain has now followed. Perhaps the 530 chain will follow in 2023; we shall see. The chains are supplied open with a (solid) rivet link.
