Repair kit for Yamaha front brake master cylinder on Yamaha XJR 1200, all model years (4PU)! This master cylinder repair kit also includes the dust boot, which protects the piston’s working area from water and dirt. On older bikes these can become porous or be missing completely. The repair kit should then be installed before the master cylinder is damaged. If brake fluid has been changed too infrequently, the master cylinder and its seals are also subject to increased wear. When the brake callipers are overhauled, I recommend taking a close look at the master cylinder too!
