The new carbon-coated motorcycle chain brings a product to market that can fulfil every wish. Durability comparable with the strongest Regina chains, maintenance-free operation – meaning never lubricating the chain again – and therefore better environmental compatibility are the major advantages of this innovative new motorcycle chain. The chain can already be ordered as a factory option at extra cost on BMW's top S 1000 RR and S 1000 R models. This can certainly be seen as a mark of chain quality, as the S 1000 RR produces well over 200BHP. So its quality is proven! A huge advantage of these chains is that they do not require specially coated front or rear sprockets. There is also no need to apply chain spray, which significantly reduces maintenance. Furthermore, no flung-off chain grease ends up in the environment. Durability should also benefit considerably, as many chains fail through lack of care. Regina even claims a lower friction coefficient for this high-performance HPE chain, allowing more engine power to reach the rear wheel.
