Product information "Barnett clutch pressure plate Yamaha XJR 1200 & XJR 1300"

Many XJR riders are all too familiar with the annoying problem of clutch slip, and not just on tuned models. The spring is too soft: although it was strengthened on the XJR 1300 RP06, it simply cannot cope with the torque of the XJR. Here is the solution for slipping clutches: the Barnett clutch pressure plate. It solves the problem for the long term! In most cases, simply fitting the pressure plate with its six individual springs is enough, without replacing the friction plates immediately. However, if the friction plates have already covered more than 25,000 km and the clutch slipped frequently before the pressure plate was fitted, the friction plates should be replaced at the same time. The pressure plate with six individual springs is included.

The uprated Yamaha clutch spring may already solve the problem in many cases, but we always recommend the Barnett pressure plate for tuned engines.
