Tourmax repair kit for Yamaha fuel taps (carburettor models)
Many Yamaha carburettor models, particularly the XJR range and TRX 850, develop a characteristic leak in the standard vacuum-operated fuel tap as they age. Fuel can then flow uncontrolled towards the carburettor or even into the engine. The consequences include a rising oil level due to fuel dilution, a petrol smell in the engine oil or an overflowing carburettor.
Typical symptoms of a faulty fuel tap:
- Overflowing carburettor
- Engine oil smells of petrol
- Rising oil level
- Uneven running or starting problems
This Tourmax repair kit reliably restores the sealing function of the vacuum fuel tap. If the fuel tap leaks, the float needle valves are also put under excessive strain; in the worst case, fuel reaches the engine.
Fits the following Yamaha carburettor models:
- XJR 1200 – 1995–1998 (4KG)
- XJR 1300 – 1999–2001 (RP02)
- XJR 1300 – 2002–2003 (RP06)
- XJR 1300 – 2004–2006 (RP10)
- TRX 850 – 1995–1999
Tourmax stands for high quality, precise fit and long-lasting operation. Made in Japan.
